Josip Juranovic isn’t interested in making it a hat-trick of summer transfers. 

In 2020 the defender moved from Hadjuk Split to Legia Warsaw, after a year in Poland he was on his way again to Celtic. 

For £2.5m Celtic have picked up outstanding value- a Croatian internationalist in his prime years with every attribute to fit easily into Ange Postecoglou’s style of play. 

Celtic fans watched Viktor Wanyama and Virgil van Dijk quickly pass through the club, after Brendan Rodgers watched the hoops beat Dundee United followed by an outstanding performance by Juranovic in the Glasgow derby some transfer rumours started to form. 

Fortunately there has been no hint of a player agitating for a move, discussing his August transfer to Celtic, Juranovic told Croatian site Sportske Jutarnji: 

Yes, I am satisfied, but it can always be better, new training is a new proof, I do not want to waste a single part of my career.  

Celtic is a great club, I enjoy it from the first day, I go to trainings with a smile, I enjoy the club, the city, the fans.  

Transfer? There are always some stories, but I leave that to my manager, I am at Celtic with all my heart. 

Juranovic is under contract with Celtic until May 2026, five year commitments are fairly rare but at the age of 26 the Croatian defender has security on and off the pitch as he prepares for the World Cup Finals alongside domestic success.
