Fresh from his controversies at Ibrox on Saturday John Beaton will take charge of Celtic’s Scottish Cup tie against Dundee United on Monday night.Â
Jim Goodwin was unhappy that a foul on Calvin Ramsey was overlooked in the build up to the only goal of the game while there was puzzlement over the booking of Lewis Ferguson in the 62nd minute while a very similar incident later on in the match went unpunished by a card.Â
The Tannadice date will be Beaton’s third Celtic match in six weeks having been in charge of the away wins against Hearts and Motherwell. The Lanarkshire based referee also took charge of the League Cup Final against Hibs. Andrew Dallas will be the fourth official at Tannadice.
Following a controversial clash at Ibrox, in January 2019 the Celtic board issued a statement looking for answers from Beaton over a number of puzzling decisions. That request was ignored with Beaton continuing to be handed high profile matches.Â

And so they continue to put barriers in our way hoping to derail the juggernaut called big Ange.
Six times Beaton but we will never be shy bring it on.
Reward for doing what was expected.
