Ange Postecoglou had an Australian audience in the palm of his hand as he shared some tales about his nine months in Glasgow for On The Front Bar. 

The Celtic boss seems to be in constant demand from Australian TV shows as they watch the progress of their first ever manager into UK football. 

Postecoglou made a massive impact while managing and quitting the Socceroos and has the personality that ensures that his journey is closely followed. 

Almost all Australians will know someone of Scottish extraction, the voice, accent and attitude seems to be unique, further emphasised by the success of Billy Connolly during his regular tours Down Under.

I’m OK, I feel sorry for the Japanese boys. They worked really hard to learn English before they got here then found out that it doesn’t help them at all. 

Kyogo Furuhashi was the trendsetter for the other imports from the J-League, judging by his social media use he seems to have settled quickly, enjoying his new lifestyle in and around Glasgow. 

With a translator now a permanent member of the Celtic staff the Japanese players are able to bridge the gap between the English that they have been tutored and what they hear on the training ground and out on the streets.
