Marvin Bartley has taken to Twitter to deny that he is pitching for a coaching job at Celtic.
It seems that offering praise for the way Ange Postecoglou has turned the club around is a step too far for some concerned listeners.
Earlier in the season Livingston beat Celtic 1-0 and then drew 0-0 at Celtic Park with David Martindale and his assistant, Bartley, putting together and executing a very effective plan to thwart Postecoglou.
On Sunday the Australian came up with a very different plan that saw the hoops win away to Livingston for the first time in 15 years- selecting a side that few fans would have predicted with Giorgos Giakoumakis, Josip Juranovic and Matt O’Riley left on the bench.
It was bold and it worked. Watching it at first hand was Bartley who was taking calls last night on Super Scoreboard.
Why can’t somebody give credit to a team/manager/player and it just be that? Whenever I work as a pundit there is no angle just the way I see it (more than happy to have a discussion as to why you think I wrong) and that will continue my friend! ?? https://t.co/I9j6eNexih

Had Eddie Howe taken up the Celtic job ahead of Postecoglou there could have been a job waiting for Bartley who played under Howe at Bournemouth and Burnley. Neil Lennon worked with Bartley at Hibs but was unable to bring in any coaches during his second spell in charge.
Bartley is also a regular pundit on Radio Scotland and Sky Sports.
Bartley one face for calling out racism against players from his favourite klub sevco but another face for not calling out the same racism and sectarian chanting from the klub he supports.
The guys got more faces than big Ben.
