Video- Watch the Ibrox pitch invaders give stewards the runaround

Last week the club from Ibrox were fined €5000 by UEFA for fans invading the pitch during the Europa League tie against Borussia Dortmund.

Any repeats will see escalating fines applied but it seems that the club is unwilling to invest in stewards with less than XXX-Large outfits.

It seems that the elite stewards that guarded the goalposts when Brendan Rodgers was taking his Celtic side to Ibrox are no longer at the club.

Yesterday’s Family Fun Day to celebrate the 10th anniversary of liquidation attracted a crowd of 38,000 which is well short of capacity.

Despite that fans had no difficulty getting onto the pitch at the final whistle leaving a few oversized stewards to play out their Keystone Cops routine chasing a few random invaders around the pitch.

There has been no comment from the club about the after-match scenes, Braga visit Ibrox on April 14 with UEFA watching.

One of my fears for next werks game…and I’ve just said this to my brother tonight…..is that if we beat them next week there’s every chance ‘ra peepul will get on there and attack our players.
I also gave the same fear for anyone who pays 52 quid to go to mordor……after all, the club over there said they couldn’t guarantee the safety of two commentators, Chris Sutton and Neil Lennon….guys in a more secured environment than players and fans….
I feel our club should morally be refusing the tickets on safety grounds….and the MORDOR board have given them ample ammunition by their actions regarding Sutton and Lennon, to make a convincing case for that.
I think our club should be looking at ways to legally ban the zombies from our ground.
Their actions abroad as well as the streets of Glasgow, show clearly that they have no respect…no morality and no issues with violence and breaking laws.
They can’t even have a celebration without attacking each other fir gods sake…..hh

No control over the crowds will this be another fine from the SFA or will they laugh it off as just a bit of fun
