Nigel de Jong made a late night visit to Instagram to congratulate Joe Hart on adding an SPFL winners medal to his Manchester City collection.
The legendary Dutch midfielder played alongside Hart at the Etihad before moving on to AC Milan, LA Galaxy and Galatasaray while picking up 81 international caps over a decade of service.
These days de Jong is a regular pundit for Bein Sport but clearly the success of his former goalkeeper caught the eye.
Last summer Hart might have been keeping an eye out for media opportunities but a goalkeeping crisis at Celtic and a phone call from Ange Postecoglou worked out perfectly for both parties.
Given the trust that has been lacking from managers in recent seasons Hart has responded brilliantly, embracing the responsibility of bringing leadership to a young and recently assembled squad of players.
After a month to take stock of events Hart will be back in the Champions League next season where his mate Nigel might be passing comment on his displays.
