Josip Juranovic is reported to be happy at Celtic according to a report from his native Croatia.

The full-back excelled for his country in the recent Nations League matches including away wins over Denmark and Croatia.

Impressing alongside Luca Modric for the World Cup runners-up is bound to make clubs sit up and take notice on the back of an influential season at Celtic.

Last night Fabrizio Romano tweeted that he expected Juranovic to leave Celtic but there hasn’t been the slightest suggestion that the defender is looking for a way out of his contract which runs until May 2026.

Picking up on the issue, The Herald quotes Croatian publisher Germanijak saying:

Josip Juranovic to the Premier League? Right now – no! As per our sources, Jura is happy in Celtic he plays regularly and in less than a year he (has become a) fans favourite.

Also, he doesn’t want to jeopardise his chances for WC in Qatar. Celtic wants at least £15m for Jura.

Juranovic could well be very happy at Celtic but after less than a year at a club the prospecting of increasing your salary four or five times over would be hard to resist.

Equally the chance to make more than a £10m profit on a player bought last year could be good business for Celtic if recruitment is fully functioning with replacements identified.

Juranovic won’t clock in again with Celtic till their July training camp in July but everything about Ange Postecoglou suggests that no developments will take him by surprise.
