Fenerbahce have had a £4.3m bid for Vivicius Souza rejected by Lommel.
There seems to be no likelihood of the midfielder turning out for the Belgian Second Division side but as part of the City Football Group they can afford to be selective over the deals that they agree to.
Souza is reported to be a transfer target of Ange Postecoglou but there is strong competition for the Brazilian following an impressive season playing for Mechelen.
Celtic’s links with the CFG and the lure of Champions League football should be a factor but Ajax and PSV Eindhoven are more familiar names for a Brazilian with aspirations to play in one of the richest European leagues.
UPDATE: Lommel SK have rejected a £4.3m bid from Fenerbahce for in-demand defensive midfielder Vinicius Souza.
They’d prefer not to sell the Brazilian but value him at £8m.

In an ideal world Postecoglou will take his full squad including new signings to a training camp in Austria next month but the reality of the transfer market is that a couple of deals may go on hold as players and clubs set their own timelines.
