Vinicius Souza seems to be in no rush to decide which club he wants to play for in the new season. 

Celtic’s interest has been known for almost a month but it seems that they are one of around 20 clubs interested in signing the Lommel registered midfielder. 

Ange Postecoglou isn’t likely to be pleading or arm-twisting any potential recruits, if Riley McGree thinks that the grass is greener elsewhere there is always a Matt O’Riley wanting to pull on the hoops and work under Celtic’s charismatic manager. 

Anthony Joseph provides fairly comprehensive coverage of Celtic’s transfer activities, this afternoon the Sky Sports reporter tweeted: 

The situation of in-demand Vinicius Souza hasn’t really changed. I understand he’s not close to joining PSV at this stage. Around 20 clubs have expressed interest. Player & agent want to weigh up all their options. Celtic is still an option, but club won’t wait for much longer.

UPDATE: Espanyol and Real Betis have made loan offers for Lommel SK defensive midfielder Vinicius Souza. City Football Group would prefer a straight loan, with no option-to-buy clause, as they’d rather not sell 

From July 5. 

With Celtic playing their first match yesterday Potecoglou is unlikely to be left waiting around for a player that Celtic seem obviously keen to sign. 

The full international players will be back in action against Rapid Vienna on Saturday as the hoops boss starts to formulate combinations for a season that features six Champions League matches by the first midweek in November.
