Ally McCoist has voiced his fears over Joe Aribo’s cut price transfer to Southampton.

Over the last year moonbeams have been launched with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Fulham and Nottingham Forest expected to get involved in a bidding frenzy expected to push the price of the midfielder to over £20m, perhaps close to the £25m that Celtic collected three years ago for Kieran Tierney.

Reality is that only one club is interested, a £6m fee has been agreed with talk of £4m in add-ons to amuse the most gullible of the gullibles.

That fee won’t go far in refreshing Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s squad with laboured attempts to secure Antonio Colak from PAOK.

With a Champions League qualifier less than four weeks away McCoist voiced his concerns on TalkSport as The Sun reported:

Southampton when it comes to bring through players form their academy don’t make too many mistakes. It is strange, I don’t know why there is a £10m clause and it’s only £6m  although the add-ons could potentially take it over £10m.

Anyway, bottom line is I would have absolutely no problems, with all the Rangers fans, saying thank-you to Joe Aribo for his time at Rangers and wishing him all the best.

He gave us that moment in the Europa League final and he has had some great performances. But I am a little bit concerned. I think Morelos’ contract is up after another year and I think Ryan Kent’s contract is up in the year.

I would be a lot happier with my Rangers supporting scarf on if we tied the two of them down for another couple of years. The one player towards the end of the season who was absolutely outstanding was Calvin Bassey.

He can play left back or left centre back in a 4 or a 3. He had an incredible man of the match performance in the Europa League final by a considerable distance, then another man of the match performance in the domestic cup final.

Morelos hasn’t played since March 20 and isn’t expected to be involved in Saturday’s friendly against Sunderland in the Algarve.

Saints deal..£6 million down, £1 million after 600 appearances, £3 million when Saints win World Club Cup

There was never a £10m buy out clause. If it were, then contracts are binding and that fee would’ve had to have been met. Absolute PR spin by those in £brokes and only the gullibillies believed it…and still do by all accounts?.

They were lucky to get that for Aribo and there’s been little spoken to what the add ons actually are. Patterson also had around £4m in add ons, but they included playing 54 games in a single season and only valid for 3 seasons, so given that he’s only played 30 minutes in 6 months, I wouldn’t be expecting Everton to be writing any further cheques soon.

The only way Morelos will be participating anytime soon if it’s to be a judge in a bake off. For all the slating from the SMSM and elsewhere that Griffiths got (and rightly so), things are deafingly quiet surrounding (pardon the pun) of the fat Columbian.

As for Kent…our back line scores more than him. He has almost mastered the kick & trip though which wins him his fair fair share of penalties. I would be more than surprised if anyone paid close to the money they got for Aribo. By that, I mean £6m excluding add ons.

Celtic should start playing Shadows tunes on game days, as that’s exactly where these racist scum will be for many years to come…in our shadow

He suits the sedentery, heel i’m no shavin’, podgy with parka and air-wave look. But dodgy school sweater doesn’t quite do it though!

I must say, I didn’t think that Bassey stood out as having had “An Incredible Man of the Match Performance in the Europa League Final”. And definetely not “By A Considerable Distance”! I don’t know where he gets that from? That’d have to be the Frankfurt player who scored the equalizer and also the winning penalty! I remember Bassey fumbling a pass-back as last man and losing possession to the Frankfurt attacker, bringing about a switch to defence mode, but the attack came to nothing anyhow! Best Ranggers player, perhaps, but then… what does it matter?
