Josip Juranovic is back in training and in contention for a role in the Celtic side to face Banik Ostrava tomorrow night.

The defender hasn’t played for Celtic since being injured in mid-April but turned out for Croatia in their June internationals.

Juranovic has missed the first two matches of Celtic’s pre-season preparations but before the squad crossed the border into the Czech Republic he could be seen training alongside those that had been involved against Rapid on Saturday.

Discussing Tony Ralston and Juranovic after the draw with Rapid Vienna, Postecoglou told the Glasgow Times:

Tony got a knock yesterday and just wasn’t 100 percent for today so we erred on the side of caution. He should be fine for Wednesday.

Josip is fine, he trained fully this morning, but he missed the first part of the week so we are trying to get all the guys into a programme where they do a bit of work before we expose them to game time.

Osaze Urhoghide played the full 90 minutes of both matches in Austria but looks like getting a breather tomorrow night as Celtic end their three match trip to the continent.

Over the next two weekends Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City visit Celtic Park, either side of a trip to Poland to face Legia Warsaw.

No incoming transfer activity has been completed since Jota was announced on July 1 but today Boli Bolingoli moved to Mechelen on a permanent basis with Ismaila Soro joining Arouca on a season long loan at the weekend.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.
