Despite making seven summer signings Celtic are still active in the transfer market.

With just over a week to go until the SPFL opener at home to Aberdeen the champions look in good shape to build on the progress and successes of last season.

A year ago things were very different with Liel Abada the only new face as Ange Postecoglou watched his side draw 1-1 at home to Midtjylland in a Champions League qualifier.

During two transfer windows the new manager rebuilt the squad to claim the League Cup and the SPFL title which carries the bonus of a place in the group stage of the Champions League.

Sky Sports: Is there more to be done (transfer wise) or are you nearly there?

Ange Postecoglou: I think that it is fair to say that I still think that we’ll be active. Whether we get deals done we’ll have to see, it has to be the right ones but I think we will still be active. We expect some comings and goings I assume over the next two or three weeks, while the window is open. Without putting any certainty around it I’d say we will still be alert and ready to go if the right solution comes up.

Three loan signings from last season have joined on a permanent basis with Ben Siegrist, Alexandro Bernabei, Aaron Mooy and Moritz Jenz all signed up in good time for the start of the competitive action.
