Malik Tillman is the latest star targeted as part of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Imaginative Signing Policy.

The Bayern Munich ‘ace’ made four appearances off the bench totalling 102 minutes in last season’s Bundesliga but will no doubt be compared to Mario Basler and Michael Ballack as he prepares for the private jet treatment.

Tom Lawrence and Antonio Colak head up the exciting summer signings with Tillman looking like another cut price deal as van Bronckhorst attempts to inject some energy into a stale squad that hasn’t changed much over the last three years- with the club winning just two domestic trophies in the last decade.

The Daily Mail reports:

Rangers have targeted Bayern Munich’s attacking midfielder Malik Tillman as manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst steps up his summer recruitment drive.

The 20-year-old has made four appearances for the German giants in the past year but he is understood to be open to the prospect of getting more game time in the Scottish Premiership.

Born in Nuremberg to an American father and German mother, Tillman has two caps for the USA. He started out at Greuther Furth before becoming part of Bayern Munich’s youth set-up.

In three weeks time van Bronckhorst faces a Champions League qualifier. John Souttar, Filip Helander, Ryan Jack, Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe missed Saturday’s friendly against Sunderland through injury.
