The gullible and deluded have spent the night discussing the likelihood of Andrea Belotti and Michy Batshyui joining the Colak Revolution at Ibrox.

With two weeks to go until the Third Round qualifiers for the Champions League some fans are starting to note the lack of available strikers.

Alfredo Morelos last played on March 20 with little sign that he is about to spring out of the gym to be back to full match fitness before the transfer window closes in six weeks time.

Regular crock Kemar Roofe is wanted on loan by League One Derby but with two seasons remaining on his lucrative Ibrox contract he is unlikely to be moving elsewhere.

Belotti was part of last year’s Italian squad that won the European Championships by beating England in the final at Wembley. With his Torino contract expired, at the age of 28 he won’t be as desperate as Aaron Ramsey was in January.

After going out on loan to Valencia, Crystal Palace and Besiktas it is unlikely that Batshyui will be in a rush to play 5-a-sides at Murray Park with Ryan Jack, Tav and Scott Arfield.

Sunderland’s Ross Stewart is out of van Bronckhorst’s price range despite the influence of transfer guru Ross Wilson.

How skint are the tribute act? They supposedly made 10’s of millions from their Europa League run but the only money spent has been Aribo’s transfer, they might be getting a good fee for Bassey but will there be other spending, especially if they don’t reach the Champions League groups.
Murray famously said for every fiver they spend we will spend £10, it’s now the case that for every £10 we spend, they will look down the back of the seetee for loose change, it is so good to be in this position
