Celtic are believed to have made enquiries about taking Chelsea defender Levi Colwell on loan.
With Ange Postecoglou expecting to sign two players before Saturday’s match against Norwich City speculation is certain to peak about a variety of targets.
The long established Celtic Underground Twitter account has shone a light through a number of transfer windows with Colwell likely to be leaving Chelsea on loan this summer.
Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt are Postecoglou’s preferred central defensive partnership with Stephen Welsh the only other alternative. In pre-season appearances Chris Jullien and Bosun Lawal have both looked well short.

Hearing we are interested but stiff competition.

Chelsea will be looking for Colwell to get significant game time which looks far from guaranteed at Celtic, however Postecoglou’s reputation and the examples of Carter-Vickers and Jota last season could be persuasive.
With a contract running until June 2025 Colwell’s future is clearly with Chelsea but short term he could be Celtic-bound as third/fourth choice central defender.
