Alexandro Bernabei makes his Celtic debut today in the pre-season friendly against Austrian regional side Wiener Viktoria.
The former Lanus defender joined in a £3.5m deal less than a week ago and lines up in a new look defence alongside Osaze Urhoghide, Bosun Lawal and Chris Jullien.
None of the club’s internationalists, who only returned to training on Monday are in the squad for today’s match which sees former Sligo Rovers forward Johnny Kenny make his Celtic debut.
James McCarthy and Yosuke Ideguchi anchor the midfield with the bench made up mainly of players from last season’s B squad including Rocco Vata, son of nineties defender Rudi.
On Saturday the level of opponent is stepped up when the hoops take on Rapid Vienna followed by a trip across the border into the Czech Republic to take on Banik Ostrava.
