Ange Postecoglou won’t be putting his feet up during the final month of the transfer window.

A year ago the Celtic boss was about to undergo some frantic transfer activity on the back of a Champions League KO to Midtjylland and in the SPFL opener at Tynecastle.

Joe Hart and James McCarthy were signed in the early days of August, Josip Juranovic towards the end of the month then Jota, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Cameron Carter-Vickers all arrived on Deadline Day.

Postecoglou ha to spin plates as he recruited a squad, assessed the players he had inherited and tried to install his style in a brand new environment.

In contrast August 2022 should be much quieter but the Celtic boss is still looking to add to his seven deals as he told the Daily Record:

We are still active (in the transfer market). There’s still three or four weeks of the window to go and I’m sure there will be some comings and goings. There’s nothing specific at the moment but if there are areas we can improve in and the right person becomes available, we’ll move on it

Chris Jullien and Albian Ajeti are the two first team squad men most likely to be moving out with Mikey Johston, Liam Shaw and Scott Robertson expected to go out on loan to gain first team experience for Celtic or to build a future elsewhere.

Just for what you do, Joe, THANK YOU. I just LOVE Tims.

I knew a Joe McHugh from many years ago, had a young brother John.
Lived near Killoch Drive and Saint Brendan’s chapel.
    Would that perhaps be you?
Anyway, that’s not of the essence. Celtic FC is bigger than all of that/us.
If you’d like to contact me directly, that’s fine by me.
