For the best part of 45 minutes Celtic hit top form against Legia Warsaw.Â
Three times the visitors struck the woodwork, a couple of decent chances were passed up, Artur Boruc pulled off a few saves and the bhoys struck two brilliant goals.Â
Even this early in the season Reo Hatate’s opener will be difficult to beat over the long campaign that lies ahead.Â
The understanding between Callum McGregor and the goalscorer was exceptional, when the ball was played back to the captain he knew where to place the ball with Hatate’s movement and execution first class.Â

Hatate turned provider for the second, it wasn’t quite of the same standard as the opener but it was far from shabby. Daizen Maeda did justice to the pass.Â
There wasn’t much action around the Legia goal in the second half but the camera was able to capture Boruc’s tearful farewell to Legia.Â
