Kemar Roofe and Filip Helander have been left out of Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s squad for the Champions League qualifiers against Union SG.

Alfredo Morelos is included despite not playing since March 20, soon afterwards he underwent surgery on a thigh injury. Summer signing Antonio Colak is the only striker in the squad which faces Union SG on August 2 and 9 with the winner going through to the Play Off round.

Serial crock Helander has managed just 35 SPFL appearances in three seasons with no word on when he might be back in action.

UEFA require four club trained and four association trained players in the 25 man squad, John Soattar, Robbie McCrorie and Scott Wright come into that category but with just three others (Scott Arfield, Alan McGregor and Ryan Jack) van Bronchorst has also been forced to leave out Nikola Katic and highly rated Polish starlet Mateusz Zukowski. Just 23 players have been listed including three goalkeepers and Morelos.

All seven summer signings are in the UEFA squad including Ridman Yilvaz who has still to be given a work permit.
