Kyogo Furuhashi scored his first goal of the season with the third in the 3-3 draw away to Rapid Vienna.

The Japanese striker replaced Giorgos Giakoumakis at half-time and looked as sharp as ever with an assist for David Turnbull’s before the compliment was returned ten minutes later.

In the 56th minute Chris Jullien sent a ball beyond the Rapid defence, Kyogo whipped the ball across goal with Turnbull racing in to put Celtic 2-1 up with a close range shot.

Rapid equalised in the 62nd minute through Kriwak but Celtic restored their lead through the Turnbull-Kyogo combination.

The former Motherwell man dispossessed a defender wide on the left, rolled the ball into the box where Kyogo took two touches then slipped a low shot across the keeper into the net.

Matt O’Riley had given Celtic an early lead but with the final act of the match Aiwu headed an equaliser for the hosts.

On Wednesday Celtic cross the Czech border to take on Banik Ostrava.
