Ange Postecoglou was giving little away about his transfer intentions following Celtic’s 9-0 win away to Dundee United.

With two players scoring hat-tricks and another clean sheet there wasn’t much to concern the Celtic boss today but the challenge is about to get much much tougher.

Over the next 10 days Postecoglou faces Ross County, a Glasgow derby and a clash against the holders of the Champions League that will start to test the quality and depth of the Celtic squad.

Three of last season’s loan signings have returned on permanent deals with five others added with this transfer window much more measured than the frantic August that the Australian endured last season.

Sead Haksabanovic was added last week with Postecoglou not ruling out further business before midnight on Thursday as he told the Glasgow Times:

We will stay alert if the right opportunity comes along. It’ll depend maybe on a couple of outgoings as well. Then we’ll move, if not what we have done so far has been a good window for us.

Midweek football resumes at Dingwall on Wednesday but as much attention will be on potential transfer activity before business closes at midnight on Thursday.
