The FAI have given the game away over Celtic’s latest transfer deal.

Last week there were pictures and stories on social media relating to Justin Osagie moving from West Ham to Celtic.

There has been no official announcement from Celtic but not every teenage signing gets a club splash.

Today, the FAI announced the players involved in an u-19 squad training get together at Loughborough:

Defenders: Samuel Aladesanusi (Kerry FC), Billy Brooks (Lincoln City), John Clarke (Reading), Darragh Dunne (St. Patrick’s Athletic), James Golding (Oxford United), Liam McAlinney (Leicester City), Harry Nevin (Preston North End), Aaron O’Reilly (Aston Villa), Justin Osagie (Celtic), John Ryan (UCD), Harvey Warren (Waterford), Eric Yoro (Bolton Wanderers)

Osagie follows a pattern of cross-border switches in recent seasons, a year ago Celtic signed Bosun Lawal from Watford with Leo Hjelde leaving the hoops for Leeds United.

Once Osagie checks in at Celtic it should allow Lawal to go out on loan with the former West Ham prospect moving into Central defence in the Lowland League.

With Stephen McManus and Darren O’Dea in charge of the B team it should be the ideal environment for any central defender to develop their career.

Celtic’s B team has started the season with a win, a loss and on Saturday they drew 2-2 away to Spartans, on Friday the young hoops host East Kilbride at Airdrie’s Excelsior Stadium.
