John Souttar is the latest name posted missing from Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s squad to face Union SG in a third round Champions League qualifier tomorrow night. According to the Glasgow Times he has a slight knock.

With Ryan Kent also out injured van Bronckhorst will have to make at least two changes to the side that scrapped past Livingston on Saturday.

Alfredo Morelos, Kemar Roofe and Filip Helander have yet to play this season, add in the sales of Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey and it becomes clear that the side tomorrow night will be very different to the tried and tested faces of the last few seasons.

Glasgow Times reports:

JOHN SOUTTAR has not travelled to Belgium and will not be part of the Champions League clash with USG on Tuesday night.

The defender made his Rangers debut on Saturday as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side beat Livingston in their Premiership opener.

Souttar endured a difficult bow at the Tony Macaroni Arena and was replaced by James Sands after 67 minutes before Scott Arfield and James Tavernier netted.

Tom Lawrence and Malik Tillman made debuts on Saturday, van Bronckhorst could hand debuts tomorrow night to Ben Davies, Rabbi Matondo and Ridvan Yilmaz.
