Joe Hart and Josip Juranovic were among the hundreds reacting to Chris Jullien’s dramatic Celtic exit.

Nine images were selected alongwith an emotional farewell message as the defender returned to France, joining Montpellier on a three year contract.

Hart and Juranovic barely played alongside Jullien but after a year in and around the training ground they paid their respects to a strange three year Celtic career that had a bit of everything.

Jullien managed just 20 minutes of competitive playing time in the last 18 months at Celtic but if he ever got round to writing about his time it would certainly make for a good book.

In December 2020 he seemed to be getting back to the levels of his first season, played his part in securing the Quadruple Treble but when he cleared a shot off the line against Dundee United in the final match of 2020 things took a turn for the worse.

A three month lay off turned into almost a year, Jullien’s first game out was a trip to Ibrox but he travelled on the ill-fated Dubai trip, tested positive as a bad season became horrific.

Managerial change was inevitable, a new central defence was formed with Jullien’s injury, salary and contract all going against him.

There were plenty of highlights however from is first season, marshalling a defence that included Nir Bitton, Boli Bolingoli and Hatem Abd Elhamed to victory at Ibrox in front of 800 visiting fans, a last gasp winner at home to Lazio, playing in the first Celtic team to win in Italy then scoring the winning goal in the 2019 League Cup Final.

It certainly was eventful.
