Not only do Scottish referees provide James Tavernier with lots of penalty practise but they also offer him immunity against penalties being awarded against him.

Willie Collum was Saturday’s culprit with the Lanarkshire based referee again demonstrating how he has to be the centre of attention.

Twenty minutes into the match Hibs had a free kick just inside their opponents half with Rocky Bushiri, Ryan Porteous and Paul Hanlon sent into the penalty box.

Sensing the danger Tavernier grabs hold of Bushiri who is dragged to the ground in full view of Collum. Previously he has awarded penalties with his back to incidents, in full view on Saturday it was play on before Tav-pen opened the scoring at the other end 20 minutes later.
