At times they were wasteful but there was no doubting the quality of the goals that Celtic scored against Aberdeen. In their own ways they were both very satisfying.

Goals from corners have been something of a rarity in recent times for Celtic, whether it was the lack of height in the penalty box or quality of delivery things just didn’t seem to work out.

Yesterday Matt O’Riley and Stephen Welsh made it all look so simple as the midfielder delivered the ball into the perfect spot with the defender outmuscling three opponents to glance his effort in at the unguarded back post.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have set down a modest maker and are top of the SPFL Premiership table, the unbeaten run is now standing at 33 and launched into a new season.
