Tom Miller has become something of a cult figure with his cliché ridden commentaries over the 10 year history of the Ibrox Tribute Act.Â
Game by game he is there providing uber staunch commentaries to the bears, forever upbeat despite two trophies and watching a variety of fours and fives from Celtic flying past Ibrox goalkeepers.Â
Various co-commentators have been brought in to assist Miller, famously in 2018 Hugh Burns screamed ‘whit’s the goalie dain’ as Moussa Dembele casually popped the ball over Wes Foderingham to equalise for Celtic.Â
Last night it was Gordon Smith that was co-commentator, Miller’s encyclopaedic knowledge of the game went a step too far as he discussed the backroom staff at Union SG.Â
I think I may have just head the biggest faux pas on Rangers TV comms.
Tom to Gordon Smith: ‘Do you know RUSGs goalkeeping coach is an ex-Celtic player called Logan Bailey?’
I think Gordon knows him fairly well because he’s the absent father of Gordon’s grandson. ?
