Ibrox fans weren’t short of issues to be furious, angry and raging about yesterday but one incident particularly got under their skin.
After chasing shadows all afternoon as a makeshift central defender James Sands sheepishly approached Jota straight after the final whistle and got a firm nod from the Portuguese superstar.
What was the question/request? Surely he wasn’t wanting the famous shirt worn by his tormentor as an additional memento, alongside the mental scars, from the Glasgow derby?
That sort of thing is fine in European ties and international matches, it sometimes occurs in the EPL but there is one fixture where it is a definite no-no. And certainly not in public.
Perhaps hanging around outside the Celtic dressing room might have been a better move for the American Soccer Guy. If the incident did happen it is safe to assume that it was a donation from Jota rather than a swap.
I’ve been a big supporter of James Sands, but if what I’m hearing is true, and he tried to swap shirts with Jota at full-time, then he should be sent back to New York. That’s not a Rangers player.

If James sands asked to swap shirts with jota he should be eliminated or sent on a plane back to America tonight

Rangers losing 4-0. Being 5 points and 17 goals behind Celtic with James Sands asking for Jota’s shirt after the game.

Probably best story coming out today, bar our win was James Sands asking for Jota’s top but telling him he can’t swap as they need it for next game ???

Has Sands got a Lone Ranger mask on … or is that his natural complexion!?
