Jon McLaughlin was a noted absentee as Giovanni van Bronckhorst staged a training session at Murray Park this morning.
Despite conceding eight goals in his last two matches the goalkeeper was recalled to the Scotland squad for the September internationals, alongwith Ryan Jack, but his absence raised some questions about tomorrow’s match against Napoli.
After McLaughlin assisted David Turnbull with Celtic’s fourth goal in the derby a number of Allan McGregor’s former team-mates were calling for his reinstatement in the side.
Now it seems like Barry Ferguson, Kris Boyd and Kenny Miller could get their wish with their 40-year-old buddy in the nets to face the Serie A high-flyers.
