Celtic fans are expecting a frenzy of transfer activity after one well respected poster on Kerrydale Street claimed that there could be three arrivals at the club today.

Soon after Ange Postecoglou had nodded towards further signings Pendy 12 claimed that a forward could be coming in on loan with the possibility of a further two more deals getting completed.

Oliver Abildgaard of Rubin Kazan has been strongly linked over the last 24 hours but the prospect of another striker will create most interest.

Giorgos Giakoumakis and Kyogo Furuhashi prove two strong contrasting options but when the Greek striker required treatment during last night’s win over Ross County all sorts of scenarios came to mind.

If Postecoglou is down to just one striker for a couple of weeks it increases the chances of that striker being injured. Last season Kyogo was the only genuine strike option for much of the first half of the season, when he suffered a hamstring injury in December there weren’t many genuine alternatives.

Daizen Maeda or Liel Abada could stand in on emergency but getting an Odsonne Edouard style third choice in on loan makes sense with most big clubs still having prospects that they want to get out on loan before midnight tonight.
