Mikey Johnston is expected to join Vitoria Guimares today on a season long loan, according to Kieran Devlin of The Athletic.
At the start of August the winger was strongly linked with a move to Standard Liege but that move seemed to go quiet with other options considered.
Although he hasn’t been involved in any of Celtic’s match-day squads this season Ange Postecoglou has spoken optimistically about his desire for the winger to get a regular run of first team games.

The Portuguese League seems like the perfect platform for Johnston with less of an emphasis on physical demands while still being involved against three top quality European teams.
Yesterday Celtic managed to get Albian Ajeti out on loan to Sturm Graz, while recruitment is all important moving Ajeti, Boli Bolingoli, Vasilis Barkas and Chris Jullien on is quite an achievement.
Johnston certainly isn’t in the same category as the four players above but at the age of 23 getting games in Portugal is essential for his career.
Lol here is another belter of a transfer story from the daily sevco Kamara this time to French side Nice for £10 million oh ma sides are sore with laughter.
Nice business if they can get it,not!.
