Like most Celtic fans today is most certainly the day.
You can get excited for Thursday night’s, pretend that Lazio are really a Champions League side, that you can go deep in the Europa League or even the Conference but the kidding stops tonight. Tonight it is Real.
Since Martin O’Neill’s side made the Champions League bow in a five goal thriller in Turin, thriller wouldn’t be the word that the manager would associate with that night against Juventus, the tournament has had a hold over Celtic players and fans.
It’s difficult to sleep with Celtic playing Real Madrid tonight in the Champions League…

Sutton was in the side that lost out to Juventus, banged in two on Matchday Six against the Italians and since that seven goal classic Celtic Park has become one of the outstanding Champions League venues.
Gordon Strachan and Neil Lennon made their mark in the competition. AC Milan, Manchester United and Barcelona have tasted defeat, tonight it is Ange Postecoglou in the spotlight.
Sutton has watched the various Champions League adventures unfold, tonight his views on BT Sport will be closely watched, but not quite as closely, eagerly and excitedly as on the park.
