St Mirren have announced that there will be a minute of applause ahead of Sunday’s match against Celtic.
Over the last week almost every aspect of life in the UK has been put on hold as the media provide round the clock coverage of the death of a monarch.
Last weekend all senior football fixtures in Scotland and England were postponed while cricket, golf and rugby league continued as normal.

In midweek Napoli fans were denied the opportunity to see their team enjoy a comfortable Champions League win with the usual Champions League trimmings taken away from matches played in the UK.
Clubs have been given a free hand on how they will mark the death at their fixtures this weekend, St Mirren’s match will come under extra scrutiny with Sky Sports showing the fixture live.
Two days after the funeral Scotland face Ukraine at Hampden in a Nations League qualifier.
I think it would be funny if the Buddies fans (all 15 of them that will be there) applauded but the Celtic fans stood silent with their hands behind their backs for 60 seconds.
