West Brom’s Twitter account experienced a massive surge in interactions at lunchtime today- with most of the traffic coming from Celtic fans.
Four months after his emotional departure Tom Rogic is back in football with the struggling Championship club the unlikely destination.
Options in Australia, the United States, Indonesia and even bizarrely in Cyprus with Neil Lennon were suggested with nothing coming directly from the player. Even the Australian international manager, Graham Arnold was left in the dark about the plans of the midfielder.
Steve Bruce is one of the great managerial survivors, he’s needing that instinct at the moment with just one Championship win from from eight matches. There is only one defeat in that run with Rogic clearly brought in to convert some of those draws into three pointers.
Not since Henrik Larsson left Celtic for Barcelona has there been so much support for a departing player- seeing Rogic in blue and white stripes will take a bit of getting used to but his style of play is unmissable.
We are delighted to announce the signing of Tom Rogic. ?
Welcome, Tom! ??

Rolls Royce ball player you’ve got there. 70 minutes is his max, but he’ll be sheer class for that time. Hope he sends you up!
