Neil Lennon’s volatile relationship with the media was out on show last night after Omonia Nicosia lost two late goals to go down to defeat from Apollon Limassol.

The short fuse is part of his character with his first spell managing Celtic providing many examples of his fiery nature.

After a match involving dubious refereeing decisions reporters knew how to frame their question to get exactly the reaction they required.

At Bolton, Hibs and back at Celtic Lennon was apparently older and wiser but his final months at Celtic were something of a car crash with the clubopting to withhold one very explosive media conference on the back of a disastrous training trip to Dubai.

These players give me everything. They’ve had a bad night tonight but don’t you sit there and criticise them for lacking character. That is one thing they don’t.

They didn’t play well tonight. I will deal with it as best I can. But I am not having people like you questioning their backbone. Who do you think you are

On Thursday Omonia are away to Real Sociedad in a Europa League group stage match.

I said it previously he has an alcohol problem and it showed up again in that presser, look at the colour of his coupon he would give the BOOZE JOCKEY Jackass Jackson a run for his money,he is finished in management.

With the money Lennon has made in the game, I don’t know why he don’t just pack it in and put his feet up! He was a decent player, but as for management? Look at Gerrard and McCoist, same syndrome! Good players don’t often make very good managers or Coaches. Maybe they just don’t appreciate what they had as a player?!
