Greg Taylor’s half hour appearance at Tynecastle on Saturday earned the defender a place in Kris Boyd’s Team of the Week.

The former Kilmarnock full-back replaced Alexandro Bernabei in the 66th minute just as Hearts had levelled the scores at 3-3.

Ten minutes later Taylor popped up in the Hearts six yard box to stab the ball over the line for the final goal of a controversial clash.

Taylor was mobbed by his delighted team-mates after scoring his first SPFL goal since joining the hoops from Kilmarnock where he spent a couple of seasons as a team-mate of Boyd.

Referee Nick Walsh played six minutes of stoppage time but the Celtic defence held firm to claim the points which stretched their lead at the top of the Premiership table to four points by the end of Saturday’s fixtures.

Aaron Mooy was the only other Celt to make it into Boyd’s team which surprisingly doesn’t include Reo Hatate.
