Since a report from Sky Sports this morning that Jota had missed training the fitness of the winger has been at the forefront of the thoughts of the Celtic support.
The former Benfica man looks like a player very comfortable and capable at Champions League level, if he is watching tomorrow’s match beside Callum McGregor in the stand it will be a big blow for Celtic’s hopes of reversing last week’s defeat away to RB Leipzig.
Jota’s fitness was the main topic of interest at this afternoon’s media conference, when the official session had ended Ange Postecoglou made a brilliant throwaway comment about his George Michael lookalike.
Ange Postecoglou confirmed today that the nature of Jota’s injury is a “muscle injury, fatigue… and for being too good looking.” pic.twitter.com/dGSoswyOLd

It will be around 6pm on Tuesday before Celtic fans get a proper update on the fitness or otherwise of Jota, when the team bus pulls up outside of Celtic Park.
Hopefully Jota will be disembarking with his team-mates, after that it will be a nervous wait till around 6.30pm when the team will be announced on the UEFA website.
