Callum McGregor’s welcome appearance

Callum McGregor appears to have played a full part in the build up to last night’s Champions League tie against RB Leipzig.

A week ago a knee injury for the Celtic skipper during the 3-1 defeat in Germany almost overshadowed the result as fears were expressed about the extent of the knock.

McGregor was pictured in a knee brace on Friday as he went to visit a specialist but the message coming back via Ange Postecoglou was that no surgery was required although it is unlikely that the Celtic skipper will be in action again until December.

Last night Celtic released a video clip of the players arriving ahead of the home match against Leipzig with McGregor stepping off the team coach.

He didn’t look to have full mobility as he came down the stairs but if there was any serious issue he wouldn’t have been with his team-mates, instead travelling to the stadium by car.

There are eight matches still to be played before the World Cup break kicks in on November 12, giving the skipper a further month away from competitive action looks like the best plan rather than pushing to have McGregor back for a game or two.

Celtic’s final match before the break is at home to Ross County on November 12.

We never get to know who made the complaint, the nature of the complaint or specifically what it was about. Just Diplock Court justice and people forced to apologise for an unknown, undetermined and un quantified offence. Typical “British Justice”. About as one-sided, opaque and as unfair as it is possible to get.
