Stephen Welsh was a casualty of Celtic’s last gasp winner against St Johnstone but the defender took it in good spirit.
The relief and joy of that 94th minute goal from Giorgos Giakoumakis was obvious to all with Welsh dashing towards the fans to join in their celebrations.
After a few moments he realised that as well as being a fan he is a player, taking a few steps back then coming a cropper over an advertising board.
No harm was done, he picked himself up to get through the last two minutes of playing time before joining in the post-match celebrations.
After losing at St Mirren and edging past Motherwell a week ago it was vital that Celtic took full points from the trip to Perth, however it was done.
Coming through yesterday’s trama with a victory should give the squad a big boost but with RB Leipzig to be faced on Tuesday the focus switches quickly to the Champions League as Ange Postecoglou’s squad go for it on all fronts.
