Michael Beale made a shameless pitch to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst by turning up in the Directors Box at Ibrox today.

Eleven months ago he walked out on the club to follow Steven Gerrard to Aston Villa before switching to QPR in the summer to take over as manager from Mark Warburton.

With fans screaming for van Bronckhorst to be sacked Beale is the current golden boy that could turn the clock back to the good old days of the Lockdown season.

Last night QPR lost 1-0 away to Birmingham City, rather than watch a Championship rival or Wednesday’s opponents Norwich beating Stoke 3-1, Beale decided to head to Ibrox and flutter his eye-lashes within sight of Ross Wilson, Stewart Robertson and Douglas Park.

Better than that he dropped into the Loundon Tavern pre-match to milk the acclaim of loyal bears, before the match he was pictured chatting to Connor Goldson in the Directors Box.

What’s so good about this duffer Michael Beale he has done nothing in management terms. They would better with Ian Beale or his maw Kathy.
