Osaze Urhoghide was on the wrong end of a 6-1 defeat at the weekend.

The defender is on a season long loan at Oostende after impressing the Belgian side in the season half of last season.

After forcing themselves into the top part of the table during the 20/21 season that featured Jack Hendry it looks like Oostende are facing a battle against the drop this season.

Union SG handed out the 6-1 defeat at Oostende’s Diaz Arena which makes it four matches in a row without a win for Urhoghide’s side.

Technically Urhoghide was Ange Postecoglou’s first new signing but that looks to be a coincidence of timing with the wheels put in place by the previous recruitment regime.

In his only Celtic top team appearance the young defender put in a very impressive performance at home to Real Betis in the Europa League but with Josip Juranovic and Tony Ralston competing for the right-back place Postecoglou has that position well covered.

Urhoghide has played in 11 of Oostende’s 12 league matches, tomorrow night they are away to second placed Royal Antwerp.
