Nacho Novo fires El Buffalo warning to Napoli

Nacho Novo believes that Alfredo Morelos is primed to shock Napoli tomorrow with the goals to give Giovanni van Bronckhorst a much needed win.

After four defeats in the Champions League racking up a goal difference of 1-16 anything less than a 4-0 defeat against Napoli will be celebrated as a moral victory by Ibrox fans.

Napoli go into the match on an 11 match winning run which includes beating Liverpool 4-1 and Ajax 4-2 on home soil.

Morelos has managed just two goals this season, half of James Forrest’s total, and has barely managed a touch in the penalty box in the two Champions League matches that he has started.

Despite that grim background Novo is looking for Morelos to shine tomorrow night, telling The Sun:

Does Giovanni now need someone like me, who’s determined to prove a point? Yes, 100 per cent.

He’s been missing Morelos a lot. Obviously I think he’s tried to get a little bit fitter.

Overall he’s a great player, a good goalscorer as well. Morelos delivers in the big games.

It would make it good for Rangers and Gio if Alfredo is scoring and has that confidence.

Morelos is free from December 1 to sign a pre-contract deal with another club.
