After a couple of laboured domestic performances that provided other clubs with some hope Celtic sent out a bold reminder yesterday that they are the most lethal attacking unit in the country.

A hat-trick from James Forrest, taking his club tally to 100, generated most of the headlines but there was plenty to admire in the other goals as well.

Against St Johnstone a week ago James McCarthy and Alexandro Bernabei combined for a last gasp winner by Giorgos Giakoumakis. Yesterday the Greek striker scored a less significant goal but it was no less impressive.

In just eight seconds the ball went from Joe Hart into the back of the net via Sead Haksabanovic, Bernabei and Giakoumakis.

The understanding between Bernabei and Haksabanovic down the left caused Hibs constant problems during the first half, it seems that both players have quickly got into the Ange way of attacking with pace and purpose.

Next up for the hoops is a League Cup tie away to Motherwell on Wednesday followed by the introduction of VAR away to Hearts on Saturday as the second section of fixtures get underway.
