At the start of September Celtic went into the unknown as they returned to the Champions League after a five year absence.
For almost all of the squad it would be unchartered territory, last season’s Europa League campaign was about to be notched up a few levels.
When Celtic last played in the Champions League Greg Taylor had just turned 20 and starting to make his mark at Kilmarnock.
Yet another frustrating night in the #UCL for Celtic. Overall performance was good, but lessons need to be learned from this campaign. O’Riley & Hatate were below par tonight – neither seemed to have the same drive about them. Greg Taylor was outstanding yet again, though.

Joining Celtic after the transfer of Kieran Tierney in 2019 was a thankless task, surviving the Lockdown season and Diego Laxalt no mean feat but now Taylor is an essential part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans.
Whether it is Jota, Sead Haksabanovic or Daizen Maeda in front of him you can count on a 7 out of 10 from Taylor, often an 8.
It has taken the defender a bit of time to comnvince the Celtic support but with a growing influence on the side Taylor’s profile is only going to grow.
