Despite the obvious disadvantage of being a radio station Super Scoreboard came closer to unravelling the Liel Abada mystery than either Sky Sports or BBC Scotland.

In stoppage time with Celtic looking to put the match beyond Hearts Celtic broke forward through Sead Haksabanovic down the left wing.

Liel Abada was anticipating the pass, holding his run to avoid offside then pounced as Haksabanovic released the ball into his path. After racing through on goal, beating Craig Gordon and finding the net he turned to see assistant referee David Roome with his flag up but did have the compensation of knowing that VAR would review the passage of play.

Should Celtic ask for publication of VAR conversations between McLean and Walsh?

Yes, it will help fans understand decision making

Fairly quickly Nick Walsh got informed by Steven McLean that offside was the correct decision with play restarting with a free kick to Hearts. Strangely the SFA didn’t release to Sky Sports the VAR lines to explain their decision, earlier in the match they showed the lines to justify Lawrence Shankland’s second goal for Hearts.

The studio team at Radio Clyde were commenting live on the pictures from Sky Sports.

Gordon Duncan knows his stuff, he is well informed on VAR issues and was used by the SFA for explanation videos that each club released on their Twitter account.

What did I tell you, the two lines if they overlap in any way the benefit of the doubt goes with the attacker, there needs to be daylight between those two lines when they are drawn.

With his contacts inside the SFA Duncan should be able to provide an explanation tonight as to how McLean came to his decision and why the two lines he viewed have yet to be published.

What have they got to hide? Show us the evidence and end this now, one way or another.

Could it be that the lines did overlap and they’re not prepared to explain why the decision to deny a goal was given?

    Incompetence? Corruption?

Either way these people should not be officiating in senior football matches.

    Save Scottish football.

    Expose the cheats.
