Last December Ryan Portous was given a three match ban for kicking out at Cristian Ramirez as the two players ‘tangled’ on the ground.
The evidence was clear even if referee Alan Tait failed to react to the incident which he has a clear view of.
On Wednesday night Fashion Sakala kicked out twice at Dundee’s Cammy Kerr in a very similar situation.
Willie Collum, who sent off Alfredo Morelos and John Lundstram against Hibs in August, decided that a yellow card was sufficient punishment for Sakala. Lundstrum’s red was reduced to yellow on appeal.
Dundee lost out on a League Cup semi-final place, yesterday there was no word from the SFA, all the signs are that Sakala will be available to play against Livingston tomorrow.
