Leon King won’t face retrospective action following his booking against Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday.

Stevie Hammell believed that the high and dangerous attack on Stuart McKinstry should have resulted in a red card rather than the yellow shown by David Dickinson.

Over the last few weeks the SFA have been wooing their media partners that VAR will resolve most of the problems with referees but with Crawford Allan in charge of VAR the same people will be watching and backing up the decisions of their mates.

In their usual form of transparency and accountability the SFA have tipped off the Daily Record that they won’t be giving King a retrospective red card:

The Rangers kid – who is being tracked by several Premier League outfits including Leeds United and mega rich Newcastle – was sweating on a call from the Hampden compliance officer. King was shown a yellow card by referee David Dickinson after he hauled down the Well attacker in the final minutes of Sunday’s clash at Fir Park. Rangers eventually won 2-1, but were made to work for it after McKinstry’s late free-kick halved the deficit following goals from Malik Tillman and John Lundstram.

Motherwell boss Steven Hammell slammed the officials and insisted the challenge was dangerous enough to warrant a red and disciplinary chiefs have until close of play today to launch an action.

Record Sport understands however, that Hampden beaks have studied the footage and are not expected to take any further action.

After the transfers of Nathan Patterson and Calvin Bassey it is highly unlikely that EPL clubs will be making big money moves for the latest over-hyped Ibrox prospect.

With Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and John Sottar all out injured it looks like King will be in place until the new year. Next Wednesday the Murray Park starlet is set to face high scoring Napoli.

A straight red all day long due to a dangerous tackle, the last man bullshit is just deflection.

He should have been off the park for endangering an opponent, but the referee shat it.

Our officials are at best incompetent and at worst biased in favour of one team.
