The shameless Ibrox Tribute Act have had their attempt to allo fans in to watch their match with Napoli rejected by UEFA.

Following the death of an elderly woman in Balmoral the Ibrox club went into uber-grief mode, using every trick in the book to avoid playing Napoli at home following 4-0 defeats away to Celtic and Ajax.

For no apparent reason their home match with Napoli was put back 24 hours with away fans banned from watching their team in action.

The Italian side went to ‘Fortress Ibrox’ with their fans forced to watch on television as they handed out a 3-0 hammering to the home side.

Part of the deal to delay the match 24 hours was that no away fans would be allowed at the return match in Italy, today the Tribute Act revealed that they had requested that UEFA reversed that decision.

The company stated:

Following a request from our supporters, Rangers approached Napoli to discuss the possibility of accommodating travelling fans. The club also engaged with UEFA, FSE, and local authorities in Italy.

Unfortunately, it has been reconfirmed by Napoli and UEFA that there is no intention to offer travelling supporters any tickets, in the interests of sporting integrity. As such Rangers supporters will not be permitted into the stadium and will not be accommodated within the city.

It is incredibly disappointing for all our fans who loyally follow the club, at great personal expense, and who will be devastated not to be able to see our team.

However, we are concerned about the safety of our supporters following conversations with other British clubs and supporters’ groups who have attended fixtures in Naples and, due to having no reassurances that our fanbase will be accommodated, we must strongly advise that supporters do not travel on safety grounds.

Napoli fans aren’t known for sharing the love with visiting fans, especially not those screaming about British superiority and their hatred of Catholics.

I’ve spent quite a bit of my time in Naples, on business. Although the hotel staff themselves are quite welcoming, there is a general tension in the air, especially in the restaurants and bars around the Piazza Garibaldi. I think its safe to say that sevco supporters would be treated to quite a number of “al fresco Italian massages” in the home of the Italian mafia!! ???
