Celtic TV have shared a highly emotional interview with Frank McGarvey inside the club boardroom.
During the eighties the striker scored more than 100 goals, playing his part in many successes alongside legendary figures like Danny McGrain, Roy Aitken, Tommy Burns, Davie Provan and Murdo MacLeod.
Nothing summed McGarvey up more than his final goal for the club, twisting his body to head home the winning goal in the 1985 Scottish Cup Final.
That goal ended a two and a half year wait for silverware, probably saved Davie Hay his job but proved to be McGarvey’s last match for the club, rejoining St Mirren soon afterwards.
?? “Just to say to the Celtic fans, that I love them very much & I want to thank them for everything they’ve done for me.”
On Saturday, Club Legend Frank McGarvey wanted to speak to @CelticTV to express his thanks and gratitude to the #CelticFC supporters.
