Celtic have released a training clip ahead of flying out to Madrid for tomorrow’s Champions League tie.
Preparations for European matches seem to be to have a training session at Celtic Park before travelling to Glasgow Airport for the outbound flight.
Carl Starfelt and Stephen Welsh took part in today’s training session but both were involved on Friday but failed to make the squad for Sunday’s 3-0 win over Livingston.
Jota trained after returning to action on Sunday leaving Callum McGregor as the only player unavailable for the trip.
Despite the blow of being left out of Japan’s World Cup squad both Kyogo Furuhashi and Reo Hatate were involved in the training session, tomorrow night they have the opportunity to show what Japan will be missing out on in Qatar.
Technically tomorrow’s match is a dead rubber but a win ensures top spot in Group F for Real Madrid while a win for Celtic would bring a welcome boost of £2.4m in prize money as well as worldwide attention.
